A little news

I’m 15 weeks pregnant today. For those who follow me on Twitter or know me in  ”real life” you are probably already in the know on this one. None the less, it’s very exciting & life changing news… to me anyway.

Ooooh think of all the things I can craft… this time for my very own baby!

Market day!

So on Sunday Little Love Boat shared a stall table with Fox Parse at the Thread Den North Melbourne Markets.

This was the first market we’ve done with our current craft cover names and it was a nice day indeed. I can’t say I’m a massive fan of sitting at a table all day while people look at my stuff… actually I feel constantly judged but oh well, that’s just me. It made me realise how much I like selling on Etsy!

I think if either of us do any future stalls we will spend a lot more time working on our stall presentation and what goods we should have at them. This time round we basically had one item each, I had my brooches and Jess had her collars… a few different products probably would have helped us out! None the less it was an educative day for both of us and we got to hang out together all day… can’t complain about that!

Handmade cards for friends

Today I created 2 cards for friends who have recently had baby girls. As per most of the cards I give to family and friends I have quickly whipped these up with thanks to Google image search, empty cereal boxes, a glue stick and a corner cutter.

A nice cheap, quick, resourceful and personal option for cards for family and friends.

Of course you should keep in mind that these cards use designs created by other people so you should only use them for personal use, like giving to friends – not selling as handmade goods.

A moment to treasure

I started creating Etsy treasuries just a few weeks ago. Today my treasury with a theme of all Australia (Australian stores), blue gift items under $100 made the Etsy homepage. I’m quite proud of my efforts at collating a nice set of Aussie gift like items. I’m also very happy that I put my friend Jess of Fox Parse dress in the treasury. She got over 1,000 views and sold something all in an hour!

I find creating treasuries to be a little therapeutic… it also reminds me of covering my books with themed pictures etc when I was at school… ommm *cough* that was a long time ago.

Creating treasuries is also a great way to network with the Etsy community, I’ve come across some amazing stores and had interactions with many amazing creative people already!
