So… a new year called for a new creative challenge, and that it is indeed. So here’s my ‘Wilderness’ entry for Illustration Friday.
I hope to learn to colour and touch-up my hand drawn illustrations better in Photoshop, obviously for this week I’ve just gone with colour using my good ol’ Faber Castell pencils… and I’ve left myself LOTS of room for improvement in the coming weeks. I’d encourage others looking for a creative challenge to give Illustration Friday a whirl.
Soooo… hello… it’s been such a long time that I almost feel a little shy.
Today has been a most lovely day… I am finally settled into my new (3rd time lucky) Melbourne home. Being a little in love with my new kitchen I thought it was time we got aquatinted, and so mum’s sugar free muffins recipe was put to good use once again. Sooo in the name of health n well being please make these instead of eating chocolate bars throughout summer… you can even feed them to your diabetic friends…as far as I know… well I made them for my dad and he said they were ok… or perhaps he just said “nom nom nom”.
1 or 2 (depending on size) mashed bananas
1/3 cup light extra virgin olive oil (or some other kinda oil will do)
1/3 cup honey
mix it… mix it… mix it…
3/4 soy milk, regular milk, yoghurt or fruit juice <– YES any of them will work, obviously they will all produce difference tastes but trust me they are all good.
1 cup of something exciting… fruit perhaps… today I used mixed berries that I’d had in the freezer for a while. Tinned apple and cinnamon is another good idea.
mix it… mix it… mix it…
2 cups of SR flour – if you wanna be extra healthy use wholegrain SR flour… personally I use 1 cup of regular SR flour and 1 cup of wholegrain.
mix it… mix it… mix it…
Place in 180 degrees oven and bake for 25 mins… jab with a skewer… if the skewer doesn’t come out goopy… you are done, if it does come out goopy… use your intuition…
Sooooo… I thought it was about time for a blog update that actually swayed the creative way. This is episode 1 of the Adventures of lord fimo dog & staplsaurus. I hope you like it.

Being the happy little twittermite that I am, I awake most mornings to view what all my peepz are doing…
Without a doubt Tweetdeck delivers me the news, many morning demands, requests and useful facts such as:
- “COFFEEEEEEEE”
- “OMFG must have cofffee”
- “Tasty coffee from McCafé today… yay”
- “Can not tweet, must have coffee” and…
- “coffeecoffeecoffeecoffee”
Seriously… the SAME beverage everrrry morning… are you convinced it is real true love between the two of you? Coffee obviously doesn’t mind to share it’s self around, so why are you* so committed?
I suggest coffee is a hussy, 50 bajillion tweets scream it’s name at early hours of the morning, and I’m sure like some kind of god, tweeteees believe it talks or tweets back at them too.
It is my mission as a lover of the liquids to suggest you live a little, try to start your day with something new… berry berry canary cup of tea maybe? Chai latte, english breakfast, hot choc, lemonade, fanta, aloe vera king, pineapple and mint juice (that’s next on my list), double white Russian, tequila with worm or at least, leap out there and make it a mocha OR something. I dare you, start your day a different way…
This is no rant against coffee, it’s a rant for variety, cause
I love coffee too, just like you*
…well, maybe not just like you.
*When I say “you” I don’t really mean you, I just mean you the ones who tweet these tweets, which is a large majority…
